A church to find your home in Jesus
We are a community where people can find their home in Jesus.
Home is a place where you belong; where you can be honest and vulnerable; where people are for you; where you are loved and cared for.
This is exactly what church is!
We are a multicultural church where people with different backgrounds and stories feel at home. We want to help people who feel disconnected become part of a community. We want to meet people where they are at and help them take the next step toward a life with Jesus.
Reach North York is a young church, but this doesn't mean there is no history behind it.
Here are some interesting facts about us:
OUR ROOTS: WILLOWDALE EVANGELICAL CHURCH
In 2016, Willowdale Evangelical Church (WEC), a faithful congregation with a long history of serving the Willowdale community, decided they wanted to stand by their mission to spread the Gospel and strengthen fellow Christians. WEC did this by inviting a closely related Christian organization, Liebenzell Mission, to help with the planting of a new church.
OUR SUPPORT: LIEBENZELL MISSION
When asked to help WEC with the beginning of this new chapter, Liebenzell Mission sent missionaries from Germany to pastor this new congregation. Thus, Reach North York was born, a church that wants nothing more than its congregation and the Willowdale community to take part in God´s mission and help people find their home in Christ.
OUR FUTURE
Today, Reach North York is a growing church of about 40 people led by a Spiritual Leadership Team (SLT) and an Executive Leadership Team (XLT) with the support of three Liebenzell missionaries: Memo Bojan, Ben Schöniger and Julia Baker.
We are always looking for new people to join us. If that's you or you have any questions of who we are, reach out to us today!
